Mission

The University of California Toxic Substances Research and Teaching Program (TSR&TP) is a systemwide resource that builds multicampus partnerships that address significant problems of importance to California. The program addresses the impacts of toxic substances on human and environmental health and develops new methods for preventing or mitigating such impacts in a sustainable manner. Through coordination of interactions between UC, government, industry, and the public, the TSR&TP functions as an incubator that facilitates UC's responsiveness to address California's needs and establishes California as a leader while enabling UC's competitiveness. By investing in the education and training of graduate students, the TSR&TP ensures the development of future leaders in this area.
